Running sucks! But here's the thing...just like the quitting smoking thing, it sucks a little less everytime you do it. I downloaded the "Couch Potato to 5K" podcasts, which really helped me as I was getting started. They were definitely designed for somebody like me who had never run and had to pace myself as I went along.

I would be really interested to hear how you like the ipod+nike sensor...I've thought about getting it before, but wanted somebody's honest opinion, so please feel free to advise!

I will follow your progress! Hell, just reading your post made me realize that I can't really use the "my house doesn't have a/c" excuse anymore now that it's fall. I think tomorrow I'll clear off the treadmill and take a little jog...thanks, Mike.

You can do it, homey! The first week is hard and then you get in a flow, but around week 6 it gets hard to stay on track. So we'll be here to kick you in the ass when you need it!
